Finally, Shingles

After what seems like an eternity, shingles are finally going up on the roof.  And while the blue and silver titanium fabric was catchy and sorta cool, nothing beats the look of gen-you-whine asphalt shingles.
Not only does it make the house more finished and closer to a move in day, it also ensures that the weather stays on the outside where it belongs. Having this finally done opens the door to things like insulation and drywall which all require a nice, snug, dry environment.
The guys also made progress on the Trex flooring for the screened in porch. The original clips they bought made the boards too far a part so they had to order some different ones. This gives a nice, clean finished touch that is very sturdy and doesn't leave a lot of gaps for stuff to fall through. If you look carefully, you can see deck framing in the back ground as well. We hope to see some siding going up in the next week or so.
