This afternoon when we arrived at the property after work we were greeted by a couple of things that made us happy. First was this stack of beams and floor joists which mean we are darn close to actual wood and nails construction. We'll know tomorrow afternoon when we get back from the lake if they put any of this together.
The other was the nearly completed foundation with the columns that will support the beams in place and soon to be filled with concrete. The drain tile and gravel are already in place around the foundation along with the waterproofing and stucco. The only real foundation stuff left to do is the block work that serves as the foundation for the garage. That will be done tomorrow so stuff should happen fast after that. With the three day weekend associated with the 4th of July holiday ahead of us we should be able to get quite a bit done in the shop including running some more electrical wire and finishing framing the ceiling for the bathroom so it can get drywalled.
