Creating our own shade

Despite extremely high heat, our intrepid contractors have continued to make progress on the roof with the addition of the trusses over the garage. They have enlisted the help of their roofer to get the roof sheeted which should be completed by the end of the week. Shingles will have to wait two weeks as there is such a back log due to hail storms that manufacturers can't keep up with demand. Having the roof sheeted makes a 15-20 degree difference in the temperature inside the house. Good thing for all the folks coming this weekend.
Once it is all sheeted, we'll have a really good idea of how it will look once the siding and shingles are on. There is still one more surprise on it that will have a big impact on how it looks, I'll wait till they get that framed in before we break that one to you.
Finally, here's a shot that will give you a little perspective on where the house and barn are situated on the property. To take this picture I am standing on top of the berm that runs parallel to the front of the house.  The road is behind me about 275 feet.
