Today, we gathered friends and family from near and far to dedicate our house and to carry on the Bartholomew tradition of writing favorite scripture verses on the studs of new construction. We do it as a means of blessing the structure and those who live in it and as a way to ask for God's help and protection. What an absolute treat to have such a willing and giving group who spent time thinking about you and your home and who then took time out of their busy lives to come on a hot day in August to help you to dedicate your home. What a wonderful and humbling experience.
