Trusses

 Trusses arrived today with plans for a crane to arrive tomorrow to begin putting them up. They still need to pour the garage floor but the high heat has been bad for pouring concrete as it causes the moisture in the concrete to evaporate too fast, making for a crumbly concrete finish.  Not exactly what we had in mind for a garage floor and porch.  We can't let the heat hold up progress any more than necessary so they will put the trusses on the main house now and then add the others once the garage walls are completed.  This adds some more expense for the guys because the crane will have to be here twice.

 This shot is of the back side of our screened in porch. The floor frame work is in  and the 4X6 dividers will hold up that stretch of the roof. Notice the water streaks on the concrete wall. Yep, more rain. Despite this, it feels like we're moving again.

Of course, this shot shows the ever present rain. We hope the rain we got today doesn't mess things up for tomorrow. This is a shot of the floor joists under the screened porch.
