Our Kitchen is really coming together; all of the cabinets are in place including the island. We purchased Lisa's stove/oven combo (an Electrolux) on Friday which is a match to the Samsung fridge and Kitchen aide dishwasher we bought on the day after Thanksgiving. Duke Power finally came and turned the power on late Friday afternoon which lets the contractors work more efficiently as the days get shorter. The electrician has to tweak a few wires as a couple of the rooms have circuits that don't work, but mostly little stuff.
The whole view of the kitchen minus the counter tops and dishwasher. That's one happy girl there
A better angle on the Island. It still needs decorative legs o the 4 corners and panels that go on the ends of the island to cover seams. There will also be another sink on the far right corner so we can both cook.
The other side of the island. I think the island has more storage than our old kitchen.
Some other little features that were completed this week include the Sun Tube located in the laundry room. The Laundry room has no windows and if it didn't have this cool invention we would have to depend on electric lights. The picture was taken with just the light from the Sun Tube.
Pretty bright huh??
We also continues to remove a few things from the house like the bathroom vanity light from Ryan's old bathroom. It will go in the guest bathroom along with his cabinet and mirror. We also bought all of the knobs and pulls for the cabinets on line tonight which will be delivered later this week. We are still waiting on the guy who is supposed to fuse the pipes that are part of the geothermal heat pump ( at the bottom of the trenches). He's been a no-show for the last couple of days and is not high on my good thoughts list.
