We wanted to include some shots of the changes that are occurring on the outside of the house as well. Of course, there is more color as the final shades are applied as well as electrical fixtures. So feast your eyes on the pictures and you'll begin to see some of the unique features that thrill us.
garage lights, very arts & Crafts style
Love the shake upper portion over the horizontal siding
The columns are ready for rock work in a couple of weeks. gutters already in place
Kitchen side of the house with one coat of paint on the lower side and new stairs to the laundry room.
Today, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see interior doors in place around the house. The doors on the guest side of the house are all masonite and will be painted along with the trim. The doors in the main part of the house and in our bedroom are all stain grade and will be finished in a golden oak color that will match the rest of the trim in the house.
Main guest bedroom closet off the second bathroom
Lisa's sewing room nook
Our master bedroom closet doors
Hall linen closet (kinda looks like it belongs in Whoville)
So we're pretty psyched to see all of this happening sooner than we thought. We did get a couple of doors that were the wrong size but that was our fault so we'll probably eat those cost wise. Fortunately they are Masonite doors which are much less expensive than the solid wood doors. We can't wait to see what will be done tomorrow!
