De Colores

As you can see from the pictures, we have been focusing on colors the past two weeks which can and has been somewhat stressful.  We are very pleased with the colors now that the rooms have been painted.  This week the electricians have added all of the electrical switches, ceiling fans, lights and outlets throughout the house. This really gives us a sense of what the house will look like when we move in: and we love it!

The living room with the ceiling fan from the annex. The color is sisal.

Lisa's sitting room which happens to be the same color as the kitchen island. Also, note the ceiling is a pale yellow.

Looking into the dining room and kitchen. The color choice here is called Dahlia and looks amazing as the light changes throughout the day. The chandelier is a refugee from the annex.

The master bedroom which is painted the same color as the living room. It's called sisal. The ceiling fan is the one from our old master bedroom.
The front bedroom AKA Lisa's sewing room. It's the same color as the kitchen but looks very different due to the windows and light exposure. The ceiling fan here is from Lisa's Sewing room/Ryan's bedroom.

The back guest bedroom. The ceiling fan in this room is from Carrie's old room.

While this really looks like we are days away from moving in, there are still lots of things to do yet. Things like trim work, hardwood floors, carpet and tile in the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room/pantry area. Installing the kitchen cabinets and counter tops and finishing the plumbing.  We should be done by the end of the year, but it will be busy right up till the end. Of course, we have tons to do as well to finish moving things from the old house to the new. It's a slow process but we're getting there.
