I know you've seen this perspective before, but it's one of my favorite. There have been several nice changes to the house this week that include more paint on the exterior( note the left side has been painted light green on the bottom and dark green on the top), and columns have been added on the porch. It took a few tries but we finally have them in a scale we like. They will have trim on them which will give them a little bit more heft along with the rock that will be installed on the bottom portion. We love the look and feel that it has a nice balance that doesn't overwhelm the front porch.
This is the back side, another familiar view on this blog. I just wanted to show some of the progress they've made on the painting. Obviously, the roofer still needs to come back and take off his walker boards and of course the light green on the bottom side needs to come all the way to the bottom of the wall. Still, you get the idea.
The electrician comes on Monday to install ceiling fans, light switches and outlets as well as trimming out the can lights. The contractors are still working on painting the inside and should have two coats of color in most rooms by the end of tomorrow.
Of course, Man does not live by house paint alone so Lisa whipped up this pizza for dinner the other night. While it might look like just about any old run of the mill pizza, in reality, the masterpiece you see before you is handcrafted using stuff we grew, bought from local growers and baked in our own oven. The tomatoes and basil pesto came from our garden. The goat cheese was purchased at the local farmer's market and of course, Lisa made the crust and the pizza sauce.
