Tile & Cabinets

Once again, we have made great progress as the tile has been completed in the kitchen/dinning/laundry room/mudroom & pantry with grouting installed. The tile has also been laid in the master bath floor and the floor of the guest bathroom. We're still working out the details on the tile in the shower and around the tub.

The kitchen cabinets started going up today and look terrific. According to Phillip, Hickory is a really hard wood as he had broken off several screws while installing the upper cabinets. The color is amazing and we are very pleased with the quality.  More cabinets will be up tomorrow.  in addition, Duke Power is scheduled to hook up the power at the pole so we actually have lights inside. Hopefully, the excessive rain of the last two days wont deter them.

Love the color of the cabinets with the color of the walls

Speaking of rain, we now have water front property. Because the geothermal heat pump is not completed, the back yard continues to look like a WWI battlefield. Consequently, the natural drain field around the house is not draining and we have a large "pond" beside the garage. Hopefully the plumber will get it tied up so we can get things leveled out again and the water properly draining.
