 Well, we are either recreating WW I trench warfare, have huge moles or are finally getting the geothermal heat pump installed.  I vote for the last. The contractors dug 4 trenches 6 feet deep and 90 feet long to house the coils of pipe that will hold the water in a closed system designed to heat and cool our house. The estimate is that it should cost us around $25-30 a month to heat and cool our house and preheat the hot water. If its true, I will be in favor of that.















At the same time the guys were trenching in the back, a contractor for Duke Power came to trench and install the power from the pole to the house. Of course, they chose the drainage ditch we just built to put it in and ended up filling it all back in. Fortunately, they did not cut through any water lines or upset sewer or drainage pipes,  A little pick and shovel work and our drainage ditch is good to go.

Trim work is continuing with most of the windows and doors completely trimmed out. The 6 inch wide boards used for trim really looks great with the colors we have chosen. Phillip informed me today that tile and backer board should be delivered today and the tile and rock work will begin next week.  By the time we return from San Diego, things should really look great.
