In between visits with contractors, Lisa and I got some time in the garden. Boy, things have really taken off. As you can see from the photos, things like the potatoes, soybeans, tomatoes peppers and beets are well on their way. We should be picking some lettuce in the next couple of days.
This is a view of the new terraced beds with potatoes in the center and broccoli on the left. There are more potatoes, wax beans and soy beans in the bed above it.
This is the upper bed which has more potatoes, and some tomato plants in the foreground. The tomatoes are a mix of Amish paste for spaghetti sauce and some heirloom varieties for just plain eating. In addition to the gardening activities we also transplanted several plants and bushes from the current house to the new homesite. We have some more to move but are trying to put them close to where they will end up once the house has been built. We should hear from some of the builders in the next week or so.
