The Plans

We met with the Right of Way Acquisition Agent last Wednesday and began the process of negotiating a fair price on our home. Unfortunately, my highly optimistic dreams were dashed as I was hoping it would be something that could be completed in a month or so.  Turns out we'll be lucky if they have the house appraised in two months. Sigh, Oh well, back to optimism, we went ahead and ordered our plans  and will begin the process of designing our kitchen, moving a few walls and flip the whole design so it fits on our site. 

                 

So this is the plan we settled on for our new home. We won't be using brick and our windows and trim details will be more Arts and Crafts/ Prairie style than what you see on the picture but you can still get an idea. A more realistic start date will be sometime this summer.  Gives us more time to reflect on our blessings and get the gardens established.
