You probably can't tell by looking at this picture, (click on it to see a better view of the finished product) but there are hours and hours of sweat and hard work invested here preparing to paint the floor with an epoxy paint. This should give it a durable finished coat that looks cool as well.
It even has the little flakes in it! Anyway, what made it so hard was the red mud stains leftover from the original construction. We couldn't get rid of it with a power washer but had to resort to stiff brushes and muratic acid and lots of muscle before it finally came clean enough to spread the paint. We're leaving it to cure till Sunday before we move stuff back in. Now, this feels like done to me.
