As people of faith and believing that the state really will come through this time, we decided it was time to finish the bathroom in the shop. As you can see, we have framed up the walls and slid the shower stall in place. Our next step is to have the plumber come over and give us the word on what he has to do to rough it in as well as the cost. While working on this, the weather here has been beautiful. This has been a major inspiration and we have begun to get ready for Spring planting.
While waiting in an airport on the way back from visiting the new Mexico kids for Wyatt's birthday, we came across a magazine that had a great idea for using those banks that just seem to erode and grow weeds. The solution they suggested was terraced raised beds. What you see in the photo is the corner posts that will serve as the foundation of our new garden spaces. This will essentially double our existing bed space. Once we get the lumber this week, we'll complete the beds and begin to fill them with dirt, compost and a lot of that horse manure you see piled high on the bed at the bottom of the picture. We are excited about all the things we'll be growing this year, maybe even a house.
