This year seems to be a big weather year for us with lots of precipitation. Finally, with snow in the forecast, we got the first big snow in probably 15 years with nine inches falling over night. Everything looked so beautiful, we were really anxious to se what the farm would look like under a blanket of the white stuff. We weren't actually able to get out to the property until Sunday due to impassable roads. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty. Here's a view of the barn from the home site. It really shows off the colors to great effect. I need to finish leveling out the dirt under the lean to so we can put the camper under there. Our other big goal for the holiday is to finish framing in the opening for the garage door and finally get it hung to keep the weather out and our tools etc. in.
So here is the view that greeted us when we finally arrived at the property today. Everything looks so clean and fresh, gotta love that Carolina Blue sky!
